As part of the Bow/ Dunbarton transition, all sixth graders from Bow Memorial and Dunbarton Elementary Schools traveled to New England College on April 20 to engage in team-building activities, which included playing name games and navigating NEC’s Adventure Bound Ropes Course. Working in groups led by NEC’s Outdoor Education leaders, students tried new things and sometimes stepped outside of their comfort zones in a supportive environment. It was an amazing day for all involved!

A week earlier, Ambassador Day took place when 37 BMS students visited with their future classmates at Dunbarton Elementary School. Our BMS "Ambassadors" were selected based on results from interest surveys that all students at both schools completed. The pairings were made and a get together was put in place! Ambassadors met with their new classmate(s) and made a connection with their new school and friends. They participated in large and small group activities, went to recess and lunch together, and looked forward to meeting once again at New England College.
