It was a lengthy bus trip for Ms. Khasanova’s grade 8 French students, but so worth it! Upon arrival in Québec City on April 20, her students checked into their hotel, passed by the famous Château Frontenac on their way to experience some French cuisine, and then ended the day with some nighttime swimming on the rooftop of The Delta.
Day two included a pre-dawn visit to Lower Town, the original Québec City settlement. A scavenger hunt of historic sites was followed by a tour of the Basilica of Sainte Anne-de-Beaupré and the awe-inspiring Montmorency Falls. The day was culminated with a fun evening at a maple sugaring shack, a highlight of the trip!
The final full day of the Canadian excursion began with a sound and light show on the history of Québec followed by a drive to Montréal, with tours of The Biosphere, the only environment museum in North America, and the Olympic Stadium. The evening included a really cool ghost tour where all these strange things happen.
Prior to embarking on the trip back to the US on day four, final stops included the very beautiful Notre-Dame Basilica and Montreal’s HUGE underground mall!
Merci, Madame, pour cette incroyable expérience culturelle!
