Stomp Out Bullying!

October is National Bullying Awareness Prevention Month. To acknowledge this month and the importance of this topic, Peer Outreach hosted specific activities during the week of October 3, 2016.

Peer Outreach asked students, teachers, and our school to Stand Up against BULLYING each and every day because being kind is being awesome! To start off the week, students and faculty wore blue in recognition of Blue Shirt Day--World Day of Bullying Prevention. During the remainder of the week, students signed footprints at lunch, pledging to stomp out bullying.

The club also hosted the Bully Proof Photo Booth at lunchtime. Students got their pictures taken while showing their stand against all forms of bullying. To end the week, Peer Outreach hosted a Unity Get Together at which students engaged in a team-building activity centered on helping others up, never down. At the end of the activity, students led a Unity chant that could be heard through the halls of BMS!

Pictures and footprints are displayed throughout the school. Click here for more information on Peer Outreach or on the week's activities.
